Intel To Partnership With Indian Govt
Gregory Bryant, Vice President, Sales and
Marketing Group, Asia-Pacific and Japan Region who was in town for few industry
and government meetings has revealed that Intel is in talks with the new Indian
government for partnerships.
The BJP government is a pro-technology and
internet administration, and who better to partner with than Intel for a
smarter future. The sort of experience this multi-national has can be utilized
in a big manner. During our course of conversation with Gregory, the topic of
smart cities and broad band came up. Intel is very serious about these cities
as they can help developing these in a big manner.
The plans for many smart cities in India have
be sanctioned and clearances should be in order soon. Intel wants to be a part
of these cities as an enabler. This will be a bright opportunity for Intel to
invest in the country and become a part of the long-term plan. However, like
Intel there are other international companies vying for similar spots in these
smart cities. That could be a challenge for them and only time will tell with whom
the new Indian Government goes with.
